Discord is utter garbage.
Thanks for joining my TED Talk. Have a nice evening.
What is the man talking about?
The internet serves as a source of knowledge exchange (and Animal Videos). Since Stack Overflow, for example, is as good as dead thanks to AI Vibe Coding, many communities have retreated to Discord. This includes the community around my CMS of choice: Craft CMS
A great community with concentrated tech knowledge in many disciplines, such as data architecture, web dev, UX, etc.
It is simply a walled garden
It's just a shame that Discord has such a terrible UI and search function. As a result, all the good questions that others could also benefit from disappear into the miserable Discord limbo, and all that knowledge is lost and inaccessible to the public.

If you're planning to use Discord for your knowledge community, please don't.
The only good use case for Discord is as a TeamSpeak server replacement, YouTuber community, or gaming clan chat.
But hey, that's just me. Have a nice day.
