The best social media network
From the old Internet era, there is a social media network that has been forgotten by the mainstream, and that's why it's the very best.
Forgotten by tech bros, ignored by journalists and the mainstream, curated special interest content thrives on this platform. Hopefully, Tumblr will be around for a long time to come.
Tumblr was founded in 2007 as an antithesis to Facebook and YouTube, which were much more focused on monetization. After 5 years, there were already 70 million blogs on the network. In 2013, Yahoo acquired Tumblr for $1.1 billion, even though Tumblr had never been profitable. In 2018, adult content was banned on Tumblr, leading to a veritable exodus of users. A shadow of its former self, Tumblr was acquired by Automattic, owner of the successful CMS platform WordPress, for $3 million. (Britannica.org)
