These posters are in the tradition of tourism posters at the beginning of the last century when photography was still in its infancy and advertising posters were drawn by hand.
In this golden age of poster art, masterpieces such as the posters for the Davos ski areas or the Niesen in the Bernese Oberland were created. These vintage posters are an integral part of the history of Swiss graphic art.
Vintage posters are all well and good, but what about the here and now? Vintage design tries to revive the old beautiful but hardly ever to integrate new impulses in the design language.
With the Aare Poster and fyrabe Poster among other things I try to reflect the attitude towards life of the here and now in the tradition of Swiss poster art.
